Fishing Fable

One thing David and Jill do a lot of up here is bike riding. Jill rides to school and back, David rides to work and back, and sometimes we even ride our bikes to the grocery store. We even ride our bikes for fun, and one day David and Jill rode up along the Provo River. It's a beautiful trail. Anyway, we saw a guy fishing, and we stopped to look at the huge fish he'd caught. Then David and the guy started talking about fishing, and a little sparkle began to grow in David's eye.
When David was growing up, his dad would take him fishing a lot. So, naturally, David has always loved fishing. When we moved up here to Provo where there's actually water, David wanted to take Jill fishing in the Provo River. So we went and bought all the gear we would need: weights, bait, rods, the whole nine yards. David bought Jill a PINK rod! She loves it. Anyway, so we went fishing for the first time. Jill caught a five-pound catfish and was very proud of it. It was the biggest fish she's ever caught or seen that wasn't sliced and sealed already. Now Jill loves fishing too!
So, we decided to go fishing a second time. We went in the evening, because that is when the fish (catfish to be exact) would come up. Jill felt doubtful that her luck would continue, and David was determined to catch something this time. So, even as it rained, we sat there and waited... and waited...
... and waited...

...and waited...

... but then, Jill had something!!!

It was another huge catfish!

David went down to the bank and pulled it

of the water with pliers. Ouch!

Jill with her second HUGE fish! But,
don't worry, David caught a few things also...
He caught a nice big...

Stick!

And a second stick! But, finally,

the lucky son of a gun got...

ANOTHER STICK!!!

But, don't worry. David, being the way he is...

Remained optimistic and put more bait

on his hook! Isn't he the cutest?

Great Story! I Love it! Cudos on being able to sit and wait that long, i'm too impatient to dare go fishing, besides i don't think i like fish very much anyway. I'll leave it up to Jill, she has it all under control. Hey David? Do you think you could catch a few wooden stakes (or big sticks) for me to put in my back yard? Thanks! Love you guys!
